The MSP market is growing. The percentage of companies using an MSP has increased an estimated 30 percent to 50 percent in the last year. However, growth for individual MSPs can vary considerably. A significant portion of MSPs have seen their businesses grow by 20 percent or more annually, while around half are only growing at about 10 percent.
Just as importantly, operating margins can also vary considerably among MSPs. High-growth MSPs often find their profits don’t keep pace with their revenue because they are not achieving adequate efficiencies of scale. Others are growing their top lines more slowly, but are achieving better bottom-line results.
